To be fair, it can be somewhat difficult to land a private scholarship – but if you do, the money you can  get can be in the thousands. When looking for private college funding, you are going to have to do most of the work yourself to turn up the best opportunities. Again, this will take a bit of search work on your part.

Once you do find scholarships and grants you do qualify for, make sure to send out as many applications as possible. As stated before, getting financial help for single mothers is a bit of a numbers game – the more applications you send out for financial assistance, the more money you will get.
